The integration underscores Bitcoin's ongoing efforts to adopt functionalities that have become standard on other major blockchains, including layer-2 scaling solutions, rollups, and smart contracts. Chainlink's involvement with Spiderchain also includes the implementation of the Chainlink Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP), facilitating seamless token transfers between different blockchain ecosystems.
