Nansen, a leading blockchain data provider, has announced its expansion into the Bitcoin layer 2 ecosystem through a partnership with Bitlayer, marking a significant milestone in its growth trajectory. The company's real-time blockchain network monitoring capabilities will be leveraged to offer analytics services to Bitlayer, empowering users with data-driven insights to inform their decisions. This development comes on the heels of Bitlayer's successful funding round, which raised $11 million under the leadership of Franklin Templeton in July.

Bitlayer's innovative approach, based on the BitVM computing paradigm, enables the execution of Ethereum-style smart contracts on the Bitcoin network. The integration of smart contracts, a crucial component of networks like Ethereum, has the potential to unlock a new wave of decentralized finance and decentralized application innovations on Bitcoin. With Bitcoin dominating nearly 60% of the digital asset market's total value, the possibility of replicating Ethereum's decentralized project ecosystem on Bitcoin could unleash unprecedented liquidity and value.

Since the launch of Bitlayer's mainnet in April, the network has witnessed the deployment of 280 projects, boasting a combined value of approximately $300 million, as announced on Monday.
