A revamped version of the blockchain analytics platform Bubblemaps has been launched, featuring AI-powered tools to help users identify whales and potential manipulation in the cryptocurrency market. The platform, which was initially introduced in 2021, provides a simplified way for users to understand the distribution of digital assets. The latest update seeks to enhance transparency in the crypto market by exposing token ownership patterns that may suggest centralization or manipulation.
According to Bubblemaps CEO Nicolas Vaiman, on-chain data is crucial for the system but is often overlooked due to the complexity of traditional tools. The platform has published research revealing the disproportionate control of certain entities over the supply of specific tokens, such as the governance token for Uniswap. Bubblemaps has also exposed instances of insider control and manipulation in the launch of speculative tokens. The updated platform features a 'time machine' that allows users to view historical snapshots of token distribution, as well as AI-powered 'magic nodes' that discover hidden links between blockchain addresses.
Additionally, the platform now supports cross-chain analysis, enabling users to view ownership of assets across multiple blockchains. With the launch of Bubblemaps V2, the team is shifting its focus to expanding support to new blockchains, starting with those based on Ethereum's Virtual Machine, and soon to include Solana and other chains.
