Exodus Movement, a leading cryptocurrency wallet provider, has received approval from the US Securities and Exchange Commission to list on the NYSE American exchange. The company, which will trade under its current ticker symbol starting December 18, had initially been denied listing in May due to an ongoing SEC review. This approval may signal a shift in regulatory attitudes towards cryptocurrency, potentially driven by the incoming administration's pro-crypto stance. According to Exodus CEO JP Richardson, the uplisting is expected to boost the company's profile and increase liquidity for shareholders.
Following the announcement, Exodus' stock price surged 10.5% on the OTC Markets before leveling out.
