WisdomTree Introduces ETP Tracking the CoinDesk 20 Index

HONG KONG – European investors can now gain direct access to the CoinDesk 20 index, which represents the largest cryptocurrency assets, through a new exchange-traded product launched by WisdomTree at Consensus Hong Kong. According to Alan Campbell, President of CoinDesk Indices, "The introduction of the first CoinDesk 20 ETP with WisdomTree marks a significant milestone for digital asset investment in Europe. The CoinDesk 20 offers institutional investors a simplified means of accessing prominent digital assets beyond Bitcoin." The WisdomTree Physical CoinDesk 20 ETP (WCRP) provides investors with exposure to the digital assets listed in the CoinDesk 20 index, similar to how other ETPs offer exposure to traditional financial indexes like the S&P 500 or NASDAQ. WCRP is listed on several major exchanges, including Deutsche Börse Xetra, the Swiss Stock Exchange SIX, and Euronext exchanges in Paris and Amsterdam. Furthermore, WCRP generates a staking yield, enabling investors to benefit from the rewards earned by contributing to the security of the underlying blockchain networks. Since its launch in January 2024, the CoinDesk 20 Index has become a key benchmark for digital asset investors, with over $14 billion in trading volume within its first year.
