The BTC Volatility Index (DVOL) on Deribit has dropped from 72 to approximately 50.8 since January 20. Traders are focusing on the Federal Reserve's January interest rate meeting minutes, particularly indications of potential increased tariffs. President Donald Trump's comments on tariffs for automobiles, semiconductors, and pharmaceutical products have sparked interest. Recent US-Russia talks in Riyadh have led to the appointment of teams to negotiate an end to the war in Ukraine and commitments to normalize diplomatic mission operations. However, excluding representatives from Ukraine and Europe remains a point of contention.
