TransCrypts Emerges Victorious at Consensus Hong Kong's Pitchfest

An administrative error that nearly cost Zain Zaidi his graduate school placement four and a half years ago sparked the idea for TransCrypts, a blockchain-powered platform designed to simplify the verification of employment information for companies. This vision recently led to TransCrypts winning CoinDesk's prestigious Pitchfest at Consensus Hong Kong. Zaidi believes that the inability to prove personal data compromises one's identity, stating, 'As consumers, we lack the ability to verify our own identities.' TransCrypts empowers individuals with 'self-sovereignty' over their ID information by facilitating on-chain verification. With an annual revenue of approximately $5 million, the startup is expanding its services to include medical records and academic transcripts. The victory at Pitchfest earned TransCrypts $5,000 in tokens, a trophy, and ten coaching sessions. CredShields, an automated auditing platform for Solidity smart contracts, secured the runner-up position, while other notable competitors included Oneverse Technology, Liquidium, Apillon, Domi Chain, GoSats, iBTC, NettyWorth, Tokenyze, Vanilla Finance, and Zypher Network. The event was sponsored by Dimitra, a token and toolkit tailored for smallholder farmers.
