Crypto.com has announced the acquisition of Allnew Investments, a move that enables the exchange to offer derivatives across the European Economic Area. The acquired company holds a MiFID license issued by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission, allowing Crypto.com to provide a range of financial products to 27 European Union nations, as well as Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway. This strategic acquisition enhances Crypto.com's European presence, building on its earlier success in obtaining a MiCA license in January, which permitted the exchange to offer crypto custody and exchange services across the EEA.

By entering the derivatives market, Crypto.com joins competitors such as Gemini and Kraken, which have also secured MiFID licenses. The acquisition is part of a broader trend of crypto exchanges expanding into derivatives to diversify their revenue streams.
