Nigel Farage, leader of Reform UK, has vowed to introduce crypto-friendly laws and create a bitcoin reserve at the Bank of England if his party comes to power. Speaking at a Bitcoin conference in Las Vegas, Farage outlined the Crypto Assets and Digital Finance Bill, which his party plans to campaign for and implement after winning the general election. The proposed legislation will prevent banks from restricting services to customers who engage with cryptocurrency and introduce a 10% capital gains tax on crypto assets.

Farage emphasized his commitment to making London a major global trading center, while also expressing opposition to a central bank digital currency. With Reform UK's rising popularity in British polls and its recent success in local elections, the party's crypto-friendly stance may gain further traction ahead of the 2029 general election.

Additionally, Reform UK has become the first European political party to accept cryptocurrency donations.
