RISE Chain, a layer-2 blockchain platform prioritizing exceptional speed and minimal latency, has successfully secured a $4 million investment from Galaxy Ventures, the venture capital arm of Galaxy Digital. This strategic investment brings the total capital raised by RISE to $8 million, following initial support from notable figures in the crypto space, including Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin. The RISE team is dedicated to creating a high-performance, low-latency blockchain that addresses the primary obstacle to mainstream adoption: scalability. The project aims to compete with existing solutions, such as MegaETH and prominent layer-2 players like Arbitrum or Base, by offering ultra-fast transaction processing.
According to an exclusive press release, RISE achieves sub-block transaction confirmations, known as 'Shreds', which deliver latency as low as 5 milliseconds, with a target throughput exceeding 100,000 transactions per second. This surpasses the capacity of most existing Layer 1 and Layer 2 networks. The team believes that the exceptional speed of their product makes it an ideal fit for applications that require rapid processing, such as central limit order books.
RISE is currently in the testnet phase, with plans to launch its mainnet and a related token by the end of the year.
