Cryptocurrency Ranks Low on US Voters' Priority List Ahead of Elections, Survey Reveals

As the US midterm elections approach, a survey conducted by Public Opinion Strategies on behalf of CoinDesk found that voters have ranked cryptocurrencies near the bottom of their list of priorities. Only 1% of respondents considered crypto their top concern, despite the industry's significant vested interest in the election's outcome. The survey, which had an even split of Republican and Democrat participants, also revealed that Americans generally have an unfavorable view of cryptocurrencies, with 25% to 58% of respondents from different party affiliations holding unfavorable views. While crypto may not be a ballot issue this year, the industry has dedicated substantial funds to support friendly candidates, following its significant donations in the 2024 election. Other key findings from the survey include the cost of living, jobs, and the economy being the most important issues to voters, with crypto ranking low, and a slight edge given to Democrats in voter trust regarding crypto. The full survey results will be released at Consensus Miami, providing further insight into voters' views on crypto and its importance in the upcoming election.
