Cryptocurrency Ranks Low Among US Voters' Priorities Ahead of Elections, Survey Reveals
As the US midterm elections approach, a survey conducted by Public Opinion Strategies on behalf of CoinDesk has found that cryptocurrencies are not a top priority for voters. Only 1% of respondents ranked crypto as their primary concern, despite the industry's vested interest in the election's outcome. The survey, which had an even split of Republican and Democrat respondents, revealed a wider view of crypto as an important political issue, but not a pressing one. Other issues such as the cost of living, jobs, and the economy were deemed more important by respondents. The survey also showed that crypto does not enjoy a favorable image among voters, with most having an unfavorable view of the technology. However, when asked directly about the importance of crypto in the 2026 election, 22% of respondents said it was an important issue, indicating a higher awareness of digital assets than in previous years.
