Cryptocurrency Ranks Low on US Voters' Priority List Ahead of Elections, Survey Reveals

As the US midterm election approaches, voters have ranked cryptocurrencies near the bottom of their list of priorities. According to a survey conducted by Public Opinion Strategies on behalf of CoinDesk, only 1% of respondents considered crypto their top concern. The survey, which polled 1,000 randomly selected registered US voters, revealed a split in views between Republican and Democrat respondents, with 41% identifying with each party. Despite the low priority given to crypto, the industry remains invested in the election's outcome, with hundreds of millions of dollars dedicated to supporting friendly candidates. The survey also found that Americans generally hold an unfavorable view of cryptocurrencies, with 27% of participants having invested, traded, or used crypto, and 47% believing Republicans are more supportive of the technology. However, 40% of respondents stated they would be more likely to vote for a candidate who shared their views on crypto, indicating a level of awareness and importance surrounding digital assets.
