Cryptocurrency Ranks Low Among US Voters' Priorities Ahead of Elections, Survey Reveals

In the lead-up to the US midterm elections, voters have placed cryptocurrencies at the bottom of their list of priorities. According to a survey conducted by Public Opinion Strategies on behalf of CoinDesk, just 1% of respondents ranked crypto as their top concern. The survey, which was evenly split between Republican and Democrat respondents, also revealed that the crypto industry has a significant stake in the election outcome, particularly with regards to the market structure bill. Despite crypto not being a direct issue on the ballot, the industry has dedicated substantial funds to support friendly candidates. The survey also showed that Americans generally have an unfavorable view of cryptocurrencies, with 25% to 58% of respondents holding a negative view, depending on their political affiliation. However, when asked about the importance of crypto in the 2026 election, 22% of respondents considered it an important issue, indicating a higher level of awareness than in previous years.
