Cryptocurrency Ranks Low on US Voters' Priority List Ahead of Elections, Survey Reveals
As the US midterm election approaches, a survey conducted by Public Opinion Strategies on behalf of CoinDesk has found that voters have ranked cryptocurrencies among their lowest priorities. The survey, which polled 1,000 randomly selected registered voters, revealed that only 1% of respondents considered crypto their top concern. Despite this, the industry remains invested in the election's outcome, with hundreds of millions of dollars dedicated to supporting favorable candidates. The survey also showed that Americans tend to view cryptocurrencies unfavorably, with 60% of respondents disapproving of US President Donald Trump's performance and a significant majority prioritizing issues like the cost of living, jobs, and healthcare. While crypto may not be a deciding factor in the election, the survey suggests that awareness and interest in digital assets have grown significantly in recent years, with 27% of respondents having invested, traded, or used cryptocurrency and 22% considering it an important issue for the 2026 election.
