Cryptocurrency Ranks Low on US Voters' Priority List Ahead of Elections, Survey Finds

As the US midterm elections approach, a survey of 1,000 registered voters has found that cryptocurrency is not a top priority for most Americans. Only 1% of respondents ranked crypto as their primary concern, despite the industry's vested interest in the election's outcome. The survey, conducted by Public Opinion Strategies on behalf of CoinDesk, also found that Americans have a generally unfavorable view of cryptocurrencies, with 60% of respondents disapproving of US President Donald Trump's performance. The cost of living, jobs, and the economy were cited as the most important issues, with crypto ranking near the bottom of the list. However, when asked directly about the importance of crypto in the 2026 election, 22% of respondents said it was an important issue, indicating a higher awareness of digital assets than in previous years. The survey also revealed that 47% of respondents believe Republicans are more supportive of cryptocurrencies, while 27% trust Democrats more on the issue. The findings suggest that while crypto may not be a top priority for voters, it remains a significant issue in the US political landscape.
