US Voters Prioritize Other Issues Over Cryptocurrency Ahead of Elections, Survey Reveals

As the US midterm elections approach, a survey conducted by Public Opinion Strategies on behalf of CoinDesk has found that cryptocurrency ranks low on the list of priorities for voters, with only 1% citing it as their top concern. Despite this, the industry has a significant stake in the election outcome, particularly with regards to the market structure bill and tax reform legislation. The survey, which had an even split of Republican and Democrat respondents, also revealed a wider view of cryptocurrency as an important political issue, with 22% of respondents considering it an important issue for the 2026 election. However, the survey also showed that Americans tend to view cryptocurrencies unfavorably, with 25% to 58% of respondents across different party affiliations holding an unfavorable view. Furthermore, the survey found that 40% of respondents did not trust either party on cryptocurrency issues, while 27% trusted Democrats and 25% trusted Republicans. The survey's findings will be presented in more detail at Consensus Miami, highlighting the complex and sometimes contradictory views US voters hold on cryptocurrency.
