Cryptocurrency Ranks Low on US Voters' Priority List Ahead of Elections, Survey Reveals
As the US midterm elections approach, a survey conducted by Public Opinion Strategies on behalf of CoinDesk has found that cryptocurrencies are not a major concern for voters. Only 1% of respondents ranked crypto as their top priority, despite a wider recognition of its importance as a political issue. The survey, which had an equal split of Republican and Democrat respondents, also revealed that Americans tend to view cryptocurrencies unfavorably, with 25% to 58% of participants holding a negative view. However, 27% of respondents said they had invested, traded, or used a cryptocurrency, and 40% stated they would be more likely to vote for a candidate who shared their views on crypto. The survey's findings suggest that while crypto may not be a key issue in the elections, it still has a significant presence in the minds of voters, with 22% considering it an important issue for the 2026 election.
