Financial Giants to Converge at Consensus Miami, Marking a Shift in Crypto Adoption
A significant transformation is underway as top financial institutions, policymakers, and crypto pioneers gather at Consensus Miami 2026. The event, scheduled for May 5-7, boasts an impressive lineup of speakers and sponsors, including Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan, and Fidelity. This year's conference is expected to draw over 15,000 attendees, with a notable increase in institutional participation, representing approximately $10 trillion in assets under management. According to Brad Spies, Vice President of Consensus, "We have reached a moment where finance, crypto, tech, and policy are strongly converging forces." The conference will feature keynotes from prominent figures such as Solana co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko, Strategy's Michael Saylor, and Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse. The institutional representation is equally impressive, with senior executives from Charles Schwab, Franklin Templeton, JPMorgan, and Citi in attendance. Topics of discussion will include the future of stablecoins, agentic commerce, tokenization, and the implications of quantum computing on the industry. The event kicks off with the Institutional Summit, where investors and asset managers will explore how to channel new capital into digital assets. The following day, Wealth Management Day will focus on how financial advisors can engage with digital assets and provide holistic planning for high-net-worth individuals. For the wealth management community, the timing of the event is critical. According to Christina Lynn of Mariner Wealth Advisors, "Financial advisors are slowly adopting and becoming more familiar with crypto topics, but we are just skimming the surface." Charles Schwab, preparing to launch Schwab Crypto, is formally participating in Consensus for the first time. The firm's head of digital assets, Joe Vietri, notes that Consensus is a natural fit due to its influence in the digital assets community. Matthew Tuttle, leader of Tuttle Capital Management, is attending Consensus to deepen his understanding of stablecoins and tokenization. He believes that these technologies are inevitable forces in the fund industry and that failing to inform oneself about them will lead to obsolescence. Tuttle recently filed to launch a new ETF, demonstrating his conviction in the space.
