Donald Trump Hosts Elite Crypto Conference with Mike Tyson, Tether CEO, and Cathie Wood as Speakers
A prestigious group of cryptocurrency leaders and public figures will convene at a private event hosted by US President Donald Trump at his Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach, Florida, on Saturday. The conference, dubbed the 'most exclusive in the world,' commenced with Bill Zanker, co-founder of the TRUMP meme coin, and was followed by boxing legend Mike Tyson. Notable speakers include Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino, who will address the connection between financial inclusion and the US dollar's global role, as well as Ark Invest founder Cathie Wood and Alchemy CEO Nikil Viswanathan, who will explore the intersection of artificial intelligence and cryptocurrency. Other prominent speakers include Anchorage Digital CEO Nathan McCauley, investor Anthony Pompliano, and traditional finance investors Tim Draper and Grant Cardone, alongside author Tony Robbins. The event is part of Trump's broader efforts to support the digital asset industry since his return to the White House in January 2025. Attendance is limited to the top 297 holders of the $TRUMP token, a meme coin launched in his name. This marks the second time the President has hosted such an event, which has sparked controversy and concerns about Trump profiting from his own crypto token while advocating for industry legislation and appointing regulators. Despite this, Trump has backed several crypto-related projects, including the $TRUMP and $MELANIA meme coins, which have generated millions of dollars in revenue for entities linked to Trump and his family, albeit with significant declines in value since their launch.
