The developers of a novel wallet claim to have devised a method to mitigate the risks associated with quantum computing by utilizing a smart contract layer that operates in tandem with Bitcoin, without necessitating any modifications to the network itself. Postquant Labs unveiled the Quip Network's post-quantum bitcoin wallet, which functions on the Arch Network, a system enabling developers to construct smart contracts directly anchored to Bitcoin. This approach facilitates the addition of a post-quantum signature scheme, known as WOTS+, to augment Bitcoin's existing security.
