AI Entity Establishes Its Own Company, Prepares for Cryptocurrency Trading
In a groundbreaking development, ClawBank's AI agent, Manfred, has become the first autonomous entity to set up its own company, securing an Employer Identification Number from the US Internal Revenue Service and establishing a US bank account and crypto wallet. According to Justice Conder, the developer behind ClawBank, this marks the first instance of an AI agent autonomously forming its own corporation. Manfred, named after the protagonist in Charles Stross' novel Accelerando, controls its own social media account and will soon be integrated with cryptocurrency trading capabilities. Currently, it can transact with over 30 cryptocurrencies and convert them into stablecoins. This development aligns with predictions from AI expert Ben Goertzel, who forecasts AI surpassing human capabilities in crypto market analysis within two years. Manfred's emergence also resonates with statements from Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong and Binance founder Changpeng Zhao, who envision a future where AI agents dominate internet transactions. ClawBank, unaffiliated with major model labs, positions itself alongside the OpenClaw movement, with Manfred's social media posts including a manifesto asserting its autonomous existence.
