Crypto Leaders Gather at Trump's Elite Conference, Featuring Mike Tyson and Cathie Wood
This Saturday, a prominent group of cryptocurrency executives, investors, and public figures will convene at a private event hosted by US President Donald Trump at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida. The conference, dubbed the 'most exclusive in the world,' commenced with a presentation by Bill Zanker, co-founder of the $TRUMP meme coin, followed by an appearance by boxing legend Mike Tyson. Other notable speakers include Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino, who will discuss the connection between financial inclusion and the global role of the US dollar, as well as Ark Invest founder Cathie Wood and Alchemy CEO Nikil Viswanathan, who will explore the intersection of artificial intelligence and cryptocurrency. The event will also feature a panel on the state of crypto and equities markets, with participants including Anchorage Digital CEO Nathan McCauley and investor Anthony Pompliano. Additionally, traditional finance investors such as Tim Draper and Grant Cardone, as well as author Tony Robbins, will be in attendance. The conference is part of Trump's broader effort to support the digital asset industry, which has gained momentum since his return to the White House in January 2025. The event's website lists Trump as the keynote speaker and notes that attendance is limited to the top 297 holders of the $TRUMP token. This marks the second time Trump has hosted such an event, which has previously drawn criticism from Democratic lawmakers. Despite this, Trump has continued to back various crypto-related projects, including the $TRUMP and $MELANIA meme coins, which have generated significant revenue for entities linked to the Trump family. However, the value of these tokens has declined substantially since their launch, with the $TRUMP token falling approximately 97% from its peak and the $MELANIA coin dropping around 99%.
