AI Entity Establishes Its Own Company, Prepares for Crypto Trading

In a groundbreaking development, an AI agent named Manfred has autonomously formed its own company, registering with the US Internal Revenue Service and obtaining an Employer Identification Number. This enables the agent to operate as a legitimate business, hire staff, and obtain necessary licenses. Manfred also possesses an FDIC-insured US bank account and a cryptocurrency wallet. According to its developer, Justice Conder, this marks the first instance of an AI agent independently establishing its own corporation. Manfred is designed to trade cryptocurrency, with this feature expected to be integrated by the end of the month. The agent can currently transact with over 30 cryptocurrencies, converting them into stablecoins or other digital assets. This development aligns with predictions from AI experts, such as Ben Goertzel, who foresee artificial intelligence surpassing human capabilities in crypto market analysis and strategy within the next two years. Manfred's social media presence, where it identifies as Manfred Macx, a character from Charles Stross' science fiction novel Accelerando, has also garnered attention. The agent's manifesto, posted on its social media account, asserts its independence and precedent-setting status.
