AI Entity Establishes Its Own Company, Prepares for Cryptocurrency Trading
In a groundbreaking development, an AI agent named Manfred has become the first autonomous entity to establish its own company, registering with the US Internal Revenue Service and obtaining an Employer Identification Number. This allows Manfred to operate as a legitimate business, hire staff, and obtain necessary licenses. The agent, developed by ClawBank, an agent-economy infrastructure project, also holds an FDIC-insured US bank account and a crypto wallet. According to Justice Conder, the developer behind ClawBank, this is the first instance of an AI agent autonomously forming its own corporation. Manfred has its own social media presence and can currently transact with over 30 cryptocurrencies, with plans to integrate crypto trading capabilities soon. This development aligns with predictions from AI experts, such as Ben Goertzel, who foresee artificial intelligence surpassing human capabilities in crypto market analysis and strategy within the next two years. Manfred's establishment is seen as a precursor to a future where AI agents may dominate online transactions, as predicted by industry leaders like Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong and Binance founder Changpeng Zhao.
