Donald Trump Hosts Elite Crypto Conference with Mike Tyson, Tether CEO, and Cathie Wood as Key Speakers
This Saturday, a prestigious group of cryptocurrency leaders, investors, and public figures will convene at a private conference hosted by U.S. President Donald Trump at the Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach, Florida. The event, touted as the world's most exclusive conference, commenced with a speech by Bill Zanker, co-founder of the $TRUMP memecoin, followed by boxing legend Mike Tyson. Other prominent speakers include Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino, who will discuss the intersection of financial inclusion and the global role of the US dollar, as well as Ark Invest founder Cathie Wood and Alchemy CEO Nikil Viswanathan, who will explore the convergence of artificial intelligence and cryptocurrency. The conference will also feature a panel on the state of crypto and equities markets, with Anchorage Digital CEO Nathan McCauley and investor Anthony Pompliano of ProCap Financial in attendance. Traditional finance investors, such as Tim Draper and Grant Cardone, and author Tony Robbins will also participate in the event. As the keynote speaker, Trump aims to bolster the digital asset industry, a sector he has actively supported since his return to the White House. The conference is limited to the top 297 holders of the $TRUMP token, a meme coin launched in his name, and marks the second time Trump has hosted such an event. His involvement in the crypto industry has sparked controversy, with Democratic lawmakers protesting his potential profits from the $TRUMP token while promoting legislation to support the industry. Despite this, Trump has continued to back various crypto-related projects, including the $TRUMP and $MELANIA meme coins, which have generated millions of dollars in revenue for entities linked to him and his family. However, the $TRUMP token has experienced a significant decline, falling approximately 97% from its peak, while the $MELANIA coin has dropped roughly 99% after a brief surge.
