Quantum Computing Threat to Crypto on the Horizon, Says Coinbase Advisory Board

Although today's blockchains are considered secure, the report cautions that a future quantum computer could potentially break widely used encryption methods, and preparation is necessary to mitigate this risk. Ultimately, the report concludes that the time to start preparing for the quantum threat is now, and that waiting for it to become urgent is not a viable option.
