Bitcoin Bull Case Gains Momentum as ETF Inflows Reach Nearly $1 Billion
Despite concerns over Iran and DeFi security breaches, bitcoin's market outlook remains optimistic, with the cryptocurrency trading at $77,313.79. Last week, U.S.-listed spot ETFs saw significant inflows of $996 million, indicating robust institutional interest. To sustain a meaningful price increase, consistent inflows are necessary. According to Timothy Misir, head of research at BRN, 'sustained inflows signal structural demand, while intermittent flows indicate tactical positioning.' Bitcoin's price has remained relatively stable above $75,000 after reaching highs of over $78,000 on Friday. Other major tokens, including ether and XRP, are exhibiting similar patterns. The DeFi platform Aave's token has dropped 1% to $90 following the KelpDAO hack, with the DeFi dominance rate holding steady at around 3%. Alex Kuptsikevich, chief market analyst at FxPro, notes that 'pressure on the leading cryptocurrency is linked to negative reactions in stock markets to news about Iran, which has reduced risk appetite.' Traders are actively building short positions, potentially setting the stage for a 'short squeeze' if prices remain steady.
