Parasite Mining Pool Scores Second Bitcoin Block
A novel approach to bitcoin mining has proven successful, as Parasite Pool has now mined two blocks. This innovative pool operates on a hybrid model, where the winning miner receives 1 BTC, and the remaining 2.125 BTC plus fees are distributed among all participants based on their contributions. With no fees to participate and payouts made through the Lightning Network, this pool offers an alternative to traditional mining models. Founded by ZK Shark, the creator of Ordinal Maxi Biz, Parasite targets home miners and aims to provide a more equitable distribution of rewards. By splitting the difference between the winner-takes-all approach and proportional distribution, Parasite's model has now been validated twice. The pool's hashrate currently stands at 52 petahashes per second, and a third block within the next two months would further solidify the effectiveness of its hybrid approach.
