Trump Supports Crypto Legislation at Exclusive Event with Mike Tyson and Tether CEO

On Saturday, President Donald Trump met with top holders of the $TRUMP memecoin at his Florida club, where he warned bankers against hindering the advancement of crypto legislation. During the private event at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, Trump reiterated the stance of his White House crypto advisors on the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act, pushing back against bank lobbyists who had stalled the legislation. Trump stated that the White House would not allow banks to undermine the crypto market structure legislation, which is the industry's primary policy objective. The event, billed as "the most exclusive conference in the world," featured a range of crypto executives and investors, including Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino, Ark Invest's Cathie Wood, and Anchorage Digital CEO Nathan McCauley, as well as boxer Mike Tyson. Trump also discussed foreign policy issues, including Iran, Venezuela, and NATO, which he described as a "paper tiger" that is "never there for us." Regarding the digital asset industry, Trump maintained his usual stance, stating, "We are the leader in crypto. It's become mainstream." The conference took place as Trump continues to support crypto ventures tied to his name, which has drawn both industry support and political scrutiny. His close personal connections to digital assets businesses have been a sticking point in passing the Clarity Act, with Democratic negotiators insisting that senior government officials, including the president, should be banned from profiting from the industry.
