Strategy, led by Michael Saylor, expanded its bitcoin treasury by 34,164 coins at an average cost of $74,395 per coin, totaling approximately $2.54 billion, as disclosed in a recent filing. This move brings the company's total bitcoin holdings to 815,061, with a total investment of around $61.56 billion and an average cost basis of $75,527 per coin. Given the current bitcoin price of about $75,000, Strategy's bitcoin holdings are presently at break-even. As the largest publicly traded bitcoin holder worldwide, the company initiated its bitcoin acquisition strategy in 2020. The recent purchases were financed by $2.2 million from the sale of its preferred stock, STRC, and $366 million from common stock sales. Meanwhile, MSTR's shares have declined by over 2.5% in pre-market trading.
