The system utilizes custom-built 'Orb' devices to establish proof of humanity, requiring users to visit an Orb in person for face and iris scanning to generate a unique cryptographic code. The update features a redesigned architecture focusing on improved privacy, security, and usability, including account-based identity, multi-key support, and recovery mechanisms. A dedicated World ID app is also being introduced to allow users to manage credentials and authenticate across platforms seamlessly. The company is expanding its partnerships with platforms like Tinder, Zoom, and Docusign, and is working on various tools such as 'Concert Kit' to combat scalper bots and 'Deep Face' to verify meeting participants.
