Tom Duff Gordon, who served as the vice president of international policy at Coinbase, a prominent U.S.-based cryptocurrency platform, has made the decision to move on. Following nearly four years at Coinbase, Duff Gordon has taken up a new position as head of EMEA Policy at OpenAI, as confirmed by a spokesperson for the cryptocurrency exchange. Prior to his tenure at Coinbase, Duff Gordon spent approximately 8.5 years working in banking at Credit Suisse. He was unavailable for comment at the time of inquiry.
As an expert in cryptocurrency regulations, Duff Gordon had previously highlighted the issue of U.K. banks restricting access to compliant and lawful services for millions of customers, due to their failure to differentiate between low-risk operators registered with the Financial Conduct Authority and those posing a higher risk.
