Tom Duff Gordon, Coinbase's vice president of international policy, has parted ways with the US-listed cryptocurrency platform to pursue new opportunities. After nearly four years at Coinbase, Duff Gordon has taken on the role of head of EMEA Policy at OpenAI, as disclosed by a Coinbase representative. Prior to his tenure at Coinbase, Duff Gordon spent over eight years working in banking at Credit Suisse. He was unavailable for comment at the time of inquiry.
As a seasoned expert in cryptocurrency regulations, Duff Gordon recently highlighted the issue of UK banks restricting access to lawful and compliant services for millions of customers, due to their inability to differentiate between low-risk, FCA-registered firms and higher-risk operators.
