Tom Duff Gordon, who served as the vice president of international policy at Coinbase, a prominent US-listed cryptocurrency platform, has made the decision to leave the company. Following nearly four years at Coinbase, Duff Gordon is moving on to assume the position of head of EMEA Policy at OpenAI, as disclosed by a company spokesperson.

Prior to his tenure at Coinbase, Duff Gordon spent approximately 8.5 years working in banking at Credit Suisse. He has not yet responded to a request for comment on his departure.

As an expert in cryptocurrency regulations, Duff Gordon had previously highlighted the issue of UK banks restricting access to legitimate and compliant services for millions of customers, due to their failure to differentiate between low-risk, Financial Conduct Authority-registered firms and higher-risk operators.
