Tom Duff Gordon, formerly the Vice President of International Policy at Coinbase, a prominent US-listed cryptocurrency platform, has made the decision to leave the company. After nearly four years with Coinbase, Duff Gordon has moved on to join OpenAI, where he will serve as Head of EMEA Policy, as disclosed by a Coinbase spokesperson via email. Prior to his tenure at Coinbase, Duff Gordon spent approximately 8.5 years working in banking at Credit Suisse. He was unavailable for comment at the time of inquiry.

As an expert in cryptocurrency regulations, Duff Gordon had previously highlighted the issue of UK banks restricting access to lawful and compliant services for millions of customers, due to their failure to differentiate between low-risk operators registered with the Financial Conduct Authority and those posing a higher risk.
