Patrick Witt, the White House's primary crypto adviser, has stated that efforts are underway to solidify a compromise that will facilitate the advancement of the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act in the U.S. Senate. In a recent interview, Witt expressed hope that the stablecoin yield compromise reached by key senators from both parties will endure. He noted that resolving this issue was a necessary step before addressing other outstanding concerns.

Witt added that significant progress has been made in resolving other issues, although he declined to specify which topics have been settled. The Clarity Act aims to provide clarity on the regulation of digital assets and has been delayed due to objections from bank lobbyists regarding stablecoin yield.

A recent report by White House economists downplayed the risks associated with stablecoin yield, prompting a response from the American Bankers Association. Witt acknowledged that bankers have varying views on stablecoins, depending on their proximity to the technology, and emphasized that these issues are crucial to their members.
