Tom Duff Gordon, who served as the vice president of international policy at Coinbase, a prominent US-listed cryptocurrency platform, has made the decision to leave the company. Following nearly four years at Coinbase, Duff Gordon has transitioned to a new position as head of EMEA Policy at OpenAI, as disclosed by a Coinbase representative via email.
Prior to his tenure at Coinbase, Duff Gordon accumulated over 8.5 years of experience in the banking sector at Credit Suisse. He has not yet provided a comment regarding his departure. As an expert in crypto regulations, Duff Gordon previously highlighted the issue of UK banks restricting access to lawful and compliant services for millions of customers, due to their inability to differentiate between low-risk operators registered with the Financial Conduct Authority and higher-risk entities.
