Tom Duff Gordon, a veteran executive who served as Coinbase's vice president of international policy, has made a significant career move. After nearly four years with the US-based cryptocurrency platform, Duff Gordon has joined OpenAI as head of EMEA Policy, according to a statement from a Coinbase representative. Prior to his tenure at Coinbase, Duff Gordon spent over eight years working in banking at Credit Suisse.
His expertise in crypto regulations recently highlighted the challenges faced by UK customers, as banks struggle to differentiate between low-risk, FCA-registered firms and higher-risk operators, thereby restricting access to compliant services.
