Tom Duff Gordon, previously the vice president of international policy at Coinbase, a prominent US-based cryptocurrency platform, has moved on to new opportunities. After nearly four years at Coinbase, Duff Gordon has taken on the role of head of EMEA Policy at OpenAI, as confirmed by a Coinbase representative. Prior to his tenure at Coinbase, Duff Gordon spent over eight years working in banking at Credit Suisse.
He was unavailable for comment at the time of inquiry. As a specialist in cryptocurrency regulations, Duff Gordon had recently highlighted the issue of UK banks restricting access to compliant services for millions of customers, due to their failure to differentiate between low-risk, FCA-registered firms and higher-risk operators.
