Patrick Witt, the primary crypto adviser to the White House, stated that efforts are ongoing to solidify the compromise that will facilitate the advancement of the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act in the U.S. Senate. In a recent interview on CoinDesk TV, Witt expressed optimism that the common ground achieved by key senators from both parties regarding stablecoin yield will remain intact. He noted that resolving this issue was essential before addressing other outstanding matters, some of which have already been resolved.

Witt mentioned that the negotiations have made significant progress in the background, while the yield debate between banks and crypto firms garnered most of the attention. The Clarity Act still requires a markup hearing in the Senate Banking Committee before it can proceed to a final Senate vote.

Witt expressed confidence that the remaining issues can be resolved, given the progress made so far. The White House economists recently issued a report downplaying the threats posed by stablecoin yield, which was met with a response from the American Bankers Association. Witt acknowledged that bankers have varying views on stablecoins, depending on their proximity to the technology.
