Tom Duff Gordon, formerly the vice president of international policy at Coinbase, has made the move to OpenAI, where he will assume the role of head of EMEA Policy. This transition comes after nearly four years with the U.S.-listed cryptocurrency exchange.
Prior to his tenure at Coinbase, Duff Gordon spent over eight years working in banking at Credit Suisse. He has been approached for comment but has not yet responded. As an expert in cryptocurrency regulations, Duff Gordon had previously highlighted the issue of U.K. banks restricting access to compliant services for millions of customers, due to their failure to differentiate between low-risk, Financial Conduct Authority-registered firms and higher-risk operators.
