Tom Duff Gordon, who served as the vice president of international policy at Coinbase, a prominent US-listed cryptocurrency platform, has made the decision to leave the company. After nearly four years with Coinbase, Duff Gordon has joined OpenAI as the head of EMEA Policy, as stated by a Coinbase representative via email. Prior to his time at Coinbase, Duff Gordon spent approximately 8.5 years working in banking at Credit Suisse. He has not responded to a request for comment at this time.

As an expert in cryptocurrency regulations, Duff Gordon had previously highlighted the issue of UK banks restricting access to compliant and legal services for millions of customers, due to their failure to differentiate between low-risk operators registered with the Financial Conduct Authority and those with higher risk profiles.
