Tom Duff Gordon, who served as the vice president of international policy at Coinbase for nearly four years, has departed the company to take on a new role. He will be joining OpenAI as the head of EMEA Policy, according to a statement from a Coinbase representative. Prior to his tenure at Coinbase, Duff Gordon spent 8.5 years working in banking at Credit Suisse.
His expertise in cryptocurrency regulations had recently highlighted the issue of UK banks restricting access to compliant services for millions of customers, due to their failure to differentiate between low-risk, FCA-registered firms and higher-risk operators.
