Tom Duff Gordon, Coinbase's vice president of international policy, has parted ways with the US-based cryptocurrency platform after nearly four years. He is set to join OpenAI as head of EMEA Policy, according to a Coinbase spokesperson. Prior to his tenure at Coinbase, Duff Gordon spent 8.5 years at Credit Suisse as a banker. His departure was noted, although he did not immediately provide comment.
As an expert in crypto regulations, Duff Gordon had previously highlighted that UK banks were restricting access to compliant services for millions of customers, failing to differentiate between low-risk, FCA-registered firms and higher-risk operators.
