Patrick Witt, the primary crypto adviser at the White House, has stated that efforts are ongoing to solidify the compromise that will facilitate the advancement of the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act in the U.S. Senate. In a recent interview, Witt expressed optimism that the common ground achieved by key senators from both parties regarding stablecoin yield will endure. He noted that resolving the yield issue was a crucial step before addressing other outstanding matters.

Witt also mentioned that significant progress has been made in resolving several other issues, although he did not specify which ones. The Clarity Act aims to provide clarity on the regulatory framework for digital assets, but its progress has been hindered by concerns over illicit financial protections in the DeFi space and potential conflicts of interest for senior government officials. Despite these challenges, Witt remains confident that the remaining issues can be resolved, paving the way for the Act's advancement. The White House economist's recent report, which downplayed the risks associated with stablecoin yield, has been met with resistance from the American Bankers Association.

Witt acknowledges that bankers have varying views on stablecoins, depending on their proximity to the technology.
