Tom Duff Gordon, who served as the vice president of international policy at Coinbase, a US-listed cryptocurrency exchange, has made the decision to leave the company. With nearly four years of experience at Coinbase under his belt, Duff Gordon is now set to take on a new role as the head of EMEA Policy at OpenAI, as disclosed by a Coinbase spokesperson via email.
Prior to his tenure at Coinbase, Duff Gordon spent approximately 8.5 years working in banking at Credit Suisse. Despite efforts to reach him, Duff Gordon was unavailable for comment. As an expert in cryptocurrency regulations, Duff Gordon had previously highlighted the issue of UK banks restricting access to compliant services for millions of customers, due to their inability to differentiate between low-risk, FCA-registered firms and higher-risk operators.
