Tom Duff Gordon, formerly the vice president of international policy at Coinbase, a prominent U.S.-listed cryptocurrency platform, has made a career move. After nearly four years with Coinbase, Duff Gordon has taken on the role of head of EMEA Policy at OpenAI, as disclosed by a Coinbase spokesperson. Prior to his tenure at Coinbase, Duff Gordon spent 8.5 years in banking at Credit Suisse. He was unavailable for comment at the time of inquiry.
As a specialist in cryptocurrency regulations, Duff Gordon had previously highlighted that UK banks were inadvertently restricting access to lawful and compliant services for millions of customers, due to their inability to differentiate between low-risk operators registered with the Financial Conduct Authority and those posing a higher risk.
