Tom Duff Gordon, formerly the vice president of international policy at Coinbase, a prominent U.S.-listed cryptocurrency platform, has made a career move. Following nearly four years at Coinbase, Duff Gordon has taken on the role of head of EMEA Policy at OpenAI, as disclosed by a Coinbase representative. Prior to his tenure at Coinbase, Duff Gordon spent approximately 8.5 years working in banking at Credit Suisse. He was unavailable for immediate comment.
As an expert in cryptocurrency regulations, Duff Gordon had recently highlighted the issue of U.K. banks restricting access to compliant services for millions of customers, due to their inability to differentiate between low-risk, Financial Conduct Authority-registered firms and higher-risk entities.
