Tom Duff Gordon, who served as the vice president of international policy at Coinbase, a prominent US-listed cryptocurrency platform, has made the decision to leave the company. After nearly four years with Coinbase, Duff Gordon has transitioned to a new role as head of EMEA Policy at OpenAI, as confirmed by a Coinbase representative via email. Prior to his tenure at Coinbase, Duff Gordon spent approximately 8.5 years working in banking at Credit Suisse. He was unavailable for immediate comment.

As an expert in cryptocurrency regulations, Duff Gordon had recently highlighted that UK banks are inadvertently restricting access to lawful and compliant services for millions of customers, due to their failure to differentiate between low-risk operators registered with the Financial Conduct Authority and higher-risk entities.
